We took our riding lawnmower in for engine repair. We were told that our mower would be returned to us in 4 or 5 days, but that estimate was not corrected when the true problem was uncovered. In the end, it took 19 days. At no point did we receive a call explaining the delay. We had to call the service department three times to find out what was going on. There were unexplained delays with parts (which turned out to be the fault of the City Tractor employee who placed the order), and communication problems between the shop and the people taking the phone calls. Once, they told us that the mower would be done the next day (a Friday), but it wasn't actually ready to pick up until the following Tuesday. There was no communication of this delay either...they didn’t even call us when the mower was finished—we had to call them. The communication was so poor that we were considering consulting a lawyer in case legal action was needed.
Purchased used snowblower through internet sales. Service was above excellent. I cannot say enough good things about these folks. The used product was better than described. It was carefully shipped. I was kept informed of every detail. Just a top notch group.
I recently purchased a used gravely zeroturn mower from city tractor that I saw online. Since I live in PA, I was buying the mower without seeing it. John was very honest and accurate in the description of the mower and went above and beyond to make sure his service team maintenced the mower to near new. This included touching up the paint, changing the oil, sharpening the blades etc. John kept me in the know daily as he fixed all known problems with the mower. When the time came for shipping, John took care of all the arrangements and details. The mower showed up at my door a day later in better than described condition. Although glowing reviews about a company usually end with the sale, I'd like to mention how this company handles when there are issues. On my second mowing with the machine I noticed that the air ride seat, an expensive piece, was not holding air. I also noticed that the fuel gauges were not working properly. I called and spoke with John who gave me no runaround or even hint of dodging the problem. John immediately ordered the parts and had them sent my way. That speaks volumes about the character of this company! To anyone who is interested in dealing with this company, be assured you are dealing with a company with sound business ethics and very fair pricing. A+++
Great service at a fair price - what more could you ask for?
When we finally picked up the mower, we asked for a discount because of the three-week inconvenience and terrible customer service, but the owner examined our bill and informed us that we “got a really good deal” because the mechanic had made a mistake on the bill (even though the final bill was very close to the mechanic's original estimate). This company desperately needs to hire a customer service representative. Until they do, we will not return.

Service department needs additional Staffing or more honest projections of repair times. Waited over 2 weeks when it was indicated would take a week.
A sign of a good company is a combination of sales and service. This company excells at both.
